Although it was only 15th December, The R.W.PGM and all those attending were treated to a festive present which unwrapped into a first class ceremony preformed by W. Bro Alexander Mclagan Kean, (Sandy), who installed Bro Steven James McNee into the chair of the Lodge. The addresses were done by W. Bro Bill Grimoldby P.Prov.G.S.W. (To the WM); W.Bro Arthur Robinson Prov G.S.W, (to the Wardens) and W.Bro Tony Farrar Prov G J.W (to the overseers).  The address to the brethren was delivered by the R.W.PGM Peter Connolly.

In true Christmas fashion The Lodge had another gift to offer when WM presented The R.W.PGM with a cheque for £1000 for Charity, which was accepted with thanks and delight at the generosity of the Lodge. Another highlight of the whole evening was the Prov G.SW acting as Prov G.DC, which he carried off in fine fashion.

An excellent festive board was enjoyed by all and who were now getting to the festive spirit.  The toast to The R.W.PGM was given by V.W.Bro Michael Clarke Ass Prov GM, who informed the gathering of The R.W.PGM honorary title given to him by a Brownie pack of ‘Wise Owl’ and at which point Michael presented the PGM with a Knitted Owl.

The night appeared to be a big success and if this atmosphere continues throughout the season the WM’s will have a very successful year. Festive Greetings were exchanged all round to bring the night to a close.
